  Sheila Engelmeier is a co-founder of Engelmeier & Umanah, P.A.* practicing employment law. Sheila’s tenacity and attention to detail make her extremely successful in advising and litigating employment matters. She handles the full panoply of employment matters, from non competes to discrimination or harassment cases. She is a frequent mediator, investigator, litigator and lecturer, and has developed and facilitated numerous training programs on a variety of workplace issues, including diversity, avoiding harassment and discrimination and dealing with leaves of absence and disabled workers.

  Sheila has developed, in collaboration with her colleague, Sue Fischer, the premier training tool, RESPECT EFFECT™.

• Charles V. Firth

  

  Charlie Firth focuses his practice on employment law, including litigation, employer counseling and class actions. Throughout his legal career, Charlie has maintained as his guiding principle aggressive and ethical representation in pursuit of the best possible solutions for each of his clients. The diversity of Charlie’s experience helps him identify and address a wide variety of client needs. While Charlie has consistently practiced in employment law matters, he also has experience in litigating cases involving consumer class actions, government fraud (False Claims Act), personal injury, sexual abuse, medical malpractice, legal malpractice and commercial disputes.

• Thomas E. Marshall

  

  Tom Marshall primarily practices in several areas of workplace law, including discrimination matters, disability management issues, contract disputes, the enforcement of or challenges to restrictive covenants, trade secrets and related obligations, as well as training and counseling on policies, handbooks and other day- to-day employment issues. He has helped employers and employees obtain appropriate and effective resolution of disputes including seven figure verdicts in favor of employees who suffered discrimination. Tom has tried over 30 jury cases to verdict in state and federal courts.
